Celebrating a Standout Season for Speech & Debate

In her first year as Gilmour Academy’s speech & debate coach, Ms. Ryan brought creativity and passion to the program—guiding the team through a transformative season filled with growth, collaboration and pride. To cap off the year and celebrate the students’ accomplishments, Ms. Ryan hosted the inaugural Speech & Debate Awards Banquet just before Easter Break.

The event honored not only competitive success, but also the leadership, character and team spirit that define the program. Students were recognized with thoughtful and personalized awards, including peer-to-peer honors and themed accolades rooted in the pillars of classical rhetoric—Ethos, Pathos and Logos. The banquet also included heartfelt tributes to graduating seniors and a celebration of those who helped the program thrive behind the scenes.
