Application Process
Complete an online inquiry for each applicant to receive Admission notifications and access to the online application.
After submitting the inquiry, please wait 24-36 hours for your inquiry to be processed. Once processed, you will then receive an email titled "Finish setting up your Gilmour account" that will provide instructions on accessing the Gilmour portal. After logging in at, click on your child’s name in the top left corner. If you are applying for more than one child or you currently have a child at Gilmour, you will see a drop-down titled “Children,” from which you can select one of your children to access his/her online application.
After accessing your account, you'll see all the items required for your student's online application (requirements vary by grade). You'll be able to:
  • complete the Parent or Parent/Student Questionnaire
  • request all required recommendations and transcripts/report cards
  • sign up for a Shadow Experience (Grades 7-12)
  • sign up for a Campus Tour (Toddler-Grade 12)
In the right sidebar of the online application, you will find a list of helpful tips to use as you navigate the process.
Complete the online application by the January 12, 2024 deadline for earliest consideration.
TESTING (required for students applying for Grades 5-12)
For those applying for Grades 5-9, the ISEE is required. Students applying for Grades 10-11 may also submit the SSAT. The PSAT is acceptable as well for Grade 11 applicants. Finally, the SAT or ACT is required for Grade 12 applicants. The TOEFL or Duolingo English Test is required for international students.
ISEE scores are used to determine qualification for merit-based awards. Students applying for Grades 7 or 9 will be considered for these awards.
Gilmour administers the ISEE on its campus throughout the school year. For a list of on-campus test dates, see our Admission Events page. To register for the ISEE, visit the ISEE website or call (800) 446-0320; indicate you would like your scores sent to Gilmour (school code 362270).
Families who wish to apply for need-based tuition assistance will complete a separate tuition assistance application online with Clarity.
