On April 15, we welcomed 13 seniors and one faculty member to the Cum Laude Society. These students rank in the top fifth of the senior class and demonstrate the Society's tenets of areté (excellence), diké (justice) and timé (honor). Congratulations to Joseph Carino ’25, Sadie Gerber ’25, Zoe Hayek ’25, Gracie Hruska ’25, Luke Lipold ’25, Darby Marshall ’25, Aiden McNamara ’25, Matthew Mirando ’25, Tia Shaw ’25, Daniel Vihavinen ’25, Joseph Vitale ’25 and Michael Wu ’25. Additionally, Ms. Cynthia McGrae was recognized as the faculty inductee. She was selected not only for her pursuit of scholastic excellence, but also her lifelong commitment to making the world a more humane and just place for others. After receiving their Cum Laude Society pins and certificates, students were inspired by JT Malloy ’04, who has led a team at Amazon Web Services since 2018 after spending eight years working with various government agencies, including USAID and the State Department.
