VECTOR is a concentrated set of experiences and coursework organized around one of five themes. By enrolling in the program in their freshman or sophomore year, highly motivated students will gain academic and real-world experience throughout their time at Gilmour, graduating with a highly focused portfolio of work and a well-developed professional network.

Our intensive blend of faculty mentoring, relevant coursework, experiential project design and reflective assessments are designed to help students discover their passions and motivate them to respond to a vocation or calling.

The VECTOR program’s enduring, transferrable learning experience is centered around one of the following focus areas:

  • Science & Medicine
  • Engineering & Design
  • Creativity & Personal Expression
  • Entrepreneurship & Commerce
  • Civic Engagement
So, what exactly is a VECTOR at Gilmour? A VECTOR is a concentrated set of classes and experiences that begin as early as Grade 9 and are channeled toward a particular theme or field. While each VECTOR puts you on a unique path, every VECTOR is comprised of three basic components:
The VECTOR program has allowed me to narrow down what I am passionate about and has allowed me to put all my focus into what is important to me.

In the VECTOR program, you decide your own projects and coursework. Nothing is impossible when you build your own schedule. VECTOR has allowed me to explore all my career interests, no matter how diverse.
