Gilmour Academy fosters an entrepreneurial mindset. Academic and extracurricular programs tap into students’ creativity while simultaneously developing their initiative and perseverance. At every grade level, Gilmour combines the imagination of an artist with the critical thinking skills of a scientist. Beginning at the Montessori level and proceeding through Grade 12 and beyond, Gilmour provides age-appropriate opportunities that inspire confidence, creativity and moral responsibility.

A wide array of programs, coursework, extracurricular activities, games, competitions, simulations and immersion learning experiences allow students to explore their interests and personalize their development.  Students have numerous opportunities to interact with established entrepreneurs, gaining feedback and advice to help them plan their own endeavors. Participating Gilmour students realize that profit is not the only criterion for creating a successful enterprise; entrepreneurism is about following one’s passion and making a difference in the lives of others.

Myriad opportunities exist at Gilmour to help students develop the courage to act and the stamina to persevere in turning challenges into opportunities that create value.

These programs are made possible in part due to generous grants from the Veale Youth Entrepreneurship Forum and the Burton D. Morgan Foundation.
