Students Visit NEOMED’s Anatomy Lab

Students in Dr. Goel’s Human Anatomy and Physiology class had the opportunity to visit NEOMED's Yassine Gross Anatomy Lab, where they were able to observe a variety of human organs in both healthy and diseased states and gain a deeper understanding of the structure and function of the human body. They also had a campus tour, which included a visit to the high-tech lecture halls and labs used for NEOMED's medicine and pharmacy programs. During the tour, the students learned about NEOMED's B.S./M.D. program, their College of Pharmacy and their Master’s in Anesthesiology program.

Students also had the unique opportunity to see the walking whale skeleton, a transitional fossil discovered in Pakistan in 1993 by NEOMED scientist Dr. Hans Thewissen. This fossil is significant because it helps to explain how whales evolved from land-living mammals.

This visit to NEOMED was engaging for the students, providing them with valuable insights into both the human body and the medical field.
