This month’s speaker will be Robert Miller M.S., CCC-SLP. Robert is the father of Ian Miller '25. Robert has been working with patients who have cognitive, linguistic and speech impairments from ages 3 to over 100 for more than 30 years. He has served as the head of special education in elementary schools, managed rehabilitation in long-term and short-term rehabilitation facilities, and held administrative positions in various capacities in these facilities.
 
Robert was raised in Edinboro, Penn. and graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 1992 with a bachelor's degree in speech language and auditory pathology. He completed his master's degree in 1995 in speech language pathology. His primary focus of study was mild to moderate cognitive communication disorders and he has presented his own research at the international level. He has multiple certifications in the treatment and management of dementia and Alzheimer's Disease patients.
 
At breakfast, Robert will discuss mild to moderate cognitive impairment, primarily in dementia, and its impact on independent living.
 
Robert and his wife Esma are the parents of Ian and Emmie, who both love to spend time on the ice at the Floyd E. Stefanski Ice Center. The Miller family resides in Gates Mills.
