Dear GA parents,
As your Chief Community Impact Officer, I’m excited to share the ways we’ll be celebrating culture, diversity, and belonging this year. Our schoolwide theme of hope will guide us, grounded in GA’s mission to develop the competence to see and the courage to act in creating a more humane and just society.
Hope shows up in our daily life at GA through the many opportunities students have to connect, reflect, and lead. Our Community Groups are welcoming spaces where students who share a background or lived experience can gather to engage in meaningful conversations, share their stories, and support one another. These groups foster understanding, affirmation, and cross-community dialogue.
Alongside our Community Groups, students can take part in a wide range of clubs and activities, from Wellness, Arts, and Service to Academic, Leadership, and Hobbies/Interests clubs. There’s something for everyone, and I encourage students to explore what speaks to them.
Next week, students will have the opportunity to learn more about these groups and how they can get involved.
In October, we’ll proudly continue our Culture Fair tradition. Culture at GA is understood broadly, it’s not just about ethnicity, but also our faith traditions, passions, perspectives, and lived experiences. This year, I invite students, faculty, and parents to share a culture close to their hearts.
To kick off the year, we’re launching a photo project called: “I am GA because…” These images will be displayed across campus, forming the word HOPE, and serving as a reminder that together, through our many cultures and identities, we represent the strength and promise of the GA community.
Thank you for your ongoing support. I look forward to a meaningful year of connection and celebration together.
In education,
JaiCynthia Farmer
