Gilmour Indoor Track & Field Shines at State Championships

Gilmour Academy athletes delivered an impressive showing at the Indoor Track & Field State Championships, highlighted by a state title and multiple podium finishes.
 
Nathan Lennon ’27 led the way, capturing the state championship in the boys 60-meter dash with a time of 6.92. Ethan Stein ’25 added a strong performance in the field events, earning fourth place in the boys shot put.
 
On the girls side, Taylor Smola ’28 placed eighth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.59 and also played a key role in the girls 4x400-meter relay team. The relay squad—Taylor Smola ’28, Bridget Vitale ’25, Lily Detzel ’27 and Abigail Steiner ’27—earned a second-place finish with a time of 4:10.35. Chloe Sbrocco ’28 contributed as an alternate.
 
With a combination of individual excellence and strong team performances, the Lancers made their mark on the state stage. Congratulations to these student-athletes on their outstanding achievements.
