Bio for Networking Breakfast Speaker Pat Bauman

This month’s speaker will be Pat Bauman, father of Colin ’21 and Lyla ’23. Pat is the president of Hickok Waekon, LLC and has been employed there for 27 years. Hickok is a contract engineering and manufacturing company providing design, development and production capabilities for electronic and mechanical parts and tools, and diagnostic test equipment serving multiple industries. They provide service and diagnostic tools for transportation industry technicians, critical indicators and gauges for the aviation and locomotive industries, and production line replacement parts for the food processing industry and more. The corporate office is located in Cleveland and their manufacturing plant is located in Greenwood, Miss.

Pat was born and raised in Cleveland Heights. He graduated from Heights High 1988 and from SUNY Fredonia in 1993. Pat and his wife, Edlyn, are the proud parents of Colin, Lyla and Elle (hopefully a ’28 Gilmour grad!).

At breakfast he will discuss the challenges a small business encounters with having such a diverse product offering, out-of-state manufacturing, and the increasing need for industry certifications and business operations in the post-pandemic world.

Fun Fact: Pat was on Coach Malloy’s first state championship hockey team at Heights in 1987.
