Fantastic Gathering of GA Golfers Pay Tribute to Charlie Tremont '70
If you could choose the ideal weather for a day of golf, you would choose the weather we had on Monday, June 25. On that picture-perfect day, 132 golfers gathered at Shaker Heights Country Club to support the Gilmour Academy Golf Classic in memory of Charlie Tremont '70. The event was made possible through the generous support of alumni and friends.
Many thanks to all who made this event the success that it was. The Presenting Sponsor was Matthew P. Figgie ’84, Figgie Capital and The Figgie Foundation. The Gold Sponsor was the Tremont Family and the Silver Sponsor was Michael Elliott ’71 & Tucker Ellis LLP. Many other local businesses, alumni, family and friends of Gilmour supported the event with sponsorships and donations.
Thank you to all who golfed, attended, sponsored and supported the tournament, which raised more than $34,000 toward the establishment of a scholarship in Charlie's name.
