Speech and Debate State Tournament Results
At the state speech and debate tournament held March 6-7, Gilmour students delivered an outstanding performance, earning top placements and special recognition across several events.
Matthew Lewis ’27 – State Finalist in the tournament’s largest event, finishing 14th in the state
Thomas Daly ’27 – Lincoln-Douglas Debate, advanced to elimination rounds and finished 22nd in the state in the second-largest event
Eymarii Sivad-Allah ’27 – 2nd Place in Spoken Word for her original poem, “That Fine Line”
Sanjeethi Anand ’27 – Recipient of the OSDA/Christian Science Monitor Scholarship, nominated by her coach
Mrs. Carol Ryan – Finalist for OSDA New Coach of the Year, recognizing outstanding coaches with fewer than five years of high school coaching experience
