Sophomore Selected for Diocesan Youth Council

Izzy Jeckering ’28 has been selected to serve on the Diocesan Youth Advisory Council for the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, an honor that recognizes her commitment to faith, service and leadership.

 

As a member of the council, Izzy will play an important role in communicating the needs, perspectives and desires of young people to the bishop, helping ensure that youth voices are represented in the diocese’s decision-making process. The council serves as a vital connection between Church leadership and young Catholics throughout the region.

 

Her involvement also provides a valuable opportunity for continued leadership development as a missionary disciple among her peers, as well as within her family and parish community. Izzy’s dedication to strengthening the faith and leadership of fellow young people reflects the core values of Gilmour Academy.
