Varsity Girls Basketball Wins Big
The varsity girls basketball team cruised to a 58-25 victory against St. Peter's High School in its only game of the week. Offensive leaders were Annika Corcoran '19 and Emma Gurley '19 with 10 points each. Naz Hillmon '18 and Liz Bender '20 (pictured) added eight points each, while Athena Hocevar '21 had four points, five rebounds and five assists. A total of 10 players got minutes in the victory with Emma Lesko '20 making her varsity debut.
The Lancers are now 15-3 overall and currently rank No. 1 in both the News-Herald Top of the Crop and the cleveland.com Top 25 Poll. The team is also ranked second in the latest Associated Press Division II State Poll.
