Girls Prep Hockey

This past weekend the girls prep hockey team traveled to Toronto to compete in the Two Nations Tournament. It is one of the team's biggest tournaments on their schedule. While it was a tough weekend score-wise, the Lancers were tenacious, finishing the event with a record of 1-0-4. In a 6-1 loss to Brampton, Ani FitzGerald '19 had the lone goal. Then in a 5-2 loss to San Jose, Ellie Heller '19 recorded a goal on an assist from Morgan Miller '19 and Gretchen Klens '19 (pictured) scored on a pass from Lexi Nguyen '20. Against Stanstead, Gilmour battled and forced an overtime period before falling 3-2. Goals came from Heller and Maura McKeown '19Kayleigh Geary '20 had a strong performance in net. It was a phenomenal game overall as the opponent is one of the top-ranked teams in the nation. 

In a close game against Syracuse, the Lances lost 4-3 with goals from Miller, FitzGerald, and McKeown. The team's only win of the tournament came against the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers 4-0. Scoring included a goal by Klens assisted by Ruby McCall '19 and Jenna Salminen '20; a second goal by Klens assisted by Miller; a goal by FitzGerald; and a goal from Miller assisted by McKeown and Abby Zenone PG

Weekend Plans: The Lancers travel to Buffalo, N.Y. for a NAPHA Weekend that includes games against Nichols School and the Buffalo Bison.
