The varsity football team's winning streak continued with a 61-22 victory against rival Hawken on Friday night to improve Gilmour to 3-0 overall. The team's offense was led by CJ Charleston '19 who had six carries for 181 yards with four touchdowns and a two-point conversation. Charleston was featured as this week's News-Herald Player of the Week and also had the distinction of earning a spot in the September 10 issue of Sports Illustrated's Faces in the Crowd section for his previous accomplishments of two state championships this past spring in track.
 
Other top football performers against Hawken included Connor Krebs '20 with 15 carries for 170 yards and two touchdowns, along with Michael Cerer '19 who blocked two punts. Both Josh Miavitz '20 and Mick Hopkins '22 had fumble recoveries for TDs as Aidan Muchnicki '20 had a pick-six as well. Jack Krebs '19 also recorded an interception and Jack Kosar '19 (pictured) returned to the playing field with nine tackles and two sacks.
