Girls Track & Field Records another Strong Week
The varsity girls track & field team had another good week, finishing second at the Gilmour Meet and fifth in the Trinity Meet. At Trinity, the Lancers earned three first-place finishes, including Katie Engle '19 in the 1600; the 4x100 relay of Madeleine Finotti '21, Ava Thomas '18 (pictured), Annika Corcoran '19 and Lucia Cannata '18; and the 4x200 relay of Madison Olsen '20, Marissa Salvino '18, Thomas and Cannata. Engle also took second in the 3200 as Mackenzi Palinski '21 was the runner-up in the discus.
In the Gilmour Meet, the Lancers earned five first-place finishes with individuals Alannah Barton '20 (1600), Sophia Garofalo '21 (3200) and Corcoran (long jump) winning their events. The 4x100 relay of Finotti, Thomas, Corcoran and Cannata and the 4x200 relay of Corcoran, Olsen, Thomas and Cannata were also victorious.
