7th- and 8th-Grade Boys Basketball Teams Win Against Old Trail; MS Girls Basketball Team Loses Close One to Andrews Osborne

The seasons are winding down for the Middle School basketball teams. The boys teams recently defeated Old Trail with the 7th-Grade team winning 35-18 and the 8th-Grade team winning 49-45. In the younger game, Dean Stephens '23 (pictured) had a number of picture-perfect layups and led the team with 14 points. Max Keller '23 pulled down a ton of rebounds and added nine points, while Lane Levengood '23 scored a key basket and played good defense. In the other game, Nathan Nootbaar '22 had several sweet baseline jumpers to pace the offense with 16 points. He was joined in double figures by Dorjan Flowers '22 and Joshua Bruce '22, who each had 11 points.
 
The Middle School girls basketball team recently lost a close game on the road to Andrews Osborne 31-28. Angelina Lonardo '22, Giana Lonardo '22 (pictured) and Mary Lombardo '22 worked hard at both ends of the court to try to put the Lancers in the win column.
