Girls Prep Hockey

This past Saturday the girls prep hockey team hosted Team CLE in a two-game series. The opponent is a local women's team consisting of former NCAA DI, DIII and ACHA alums, as well as former NWHL alums, including our very own faculty member Katelyn Seliskar '07

In the first meeting, Team CLE got the best of the Lancers in a 3-0 defeat and showed Gilmour how hockey IQ, intuition and experience leads to making smart plays. Kayleigh Geary '20 made some great saves in net for the Lancers. Gilmour went on to capitalize on the lessons they learned from game one, and put them to use in game two. The Lancers came together and played well as a unit on both sides of the puck. Morgan Miller '19 tied the game at one before Abby Zenone PG scored the game winner in the third period. Julia Beaven '19 had an exceptional effort in net in the second half of the game, not giving up a single goal. The team Hard Hat Award was given to Franki Cappello '20 (pictured) for playing a great overall game.
