Girls Tennis
The Varsity A girls tennis team had a great victory against Mayfield last week, with super performances and victories in both doubles. Emma Kaplan '19 (pictured) and Ava Moe '22 swept their opponents 6-0, 6-0 and first doubles teammates Claire Jablonski '21 and Hadley Hairston '21 were victorious in the third-set tiebreaker. Singles player Maya Moufawad '20 was also a winner at second singles 7-5, 6-3.
The Lancers also competed in the North Coast League (NCL) Tournament this past weekend. The doubles team of Moe and Angela Liu '20 were consolation bracket winners.
The Varsity B girls tennis team saw a nice performance from first doubles pair Natalie Mullen '19 and Lily Kosar '21 in a match against Rocky River. The duo won the first set 6-2 before dropping the second set 2-6. They fought back to win the match in a tie breaker 10-8.
Weekend Plans: The varsity A match against Magnificat on Friday has been cancelled. No other matches are scheduled for the weekend.
