Track & Field - Girls

The girls track and field team started the week by winning the Harvey Quad with 106 points. The Lancers defeated host Harvey (67), Wickliffe (59) and Glenville (16). Gilmour totaled 10 first-place finishes including Mackenzie Palinski ’21 in discus; Annika Corcoran ’19 in long jump; Madeline Finotti ’18 in IH; Katie Engle ’19 (pictured) in the 800; Marisa Salvino ’18 in the 400; Sophia Garofalo ’21 in the 3200; the 4x800 relay team of Salvino, Annie Greene ’19, Izzy Greene ’18, and Garofalo; the 4x200 and 4x100 relay team of Finotti, Corcoran, Madison Olsen ’20 and Lucia Cannata ’18; and the 4x400 relay team of Olsen, Engle, I. Greene and Salvino.

The Lancers then went on to finish seventh out of 18 schools in the Bog Ox Meet. Engle gave a standout performance for the day, winning the 1600 and the 800 to be named the meet's distance MVP. Other notable performers included Ava Thomas ’18 who was fourth in both the 100 and 200, Cannata who was third in the 200 and sixth in the 100 and Alannah Barton ’19 who was fifth in the 3200.
