Boys Lacrosse Off to Undefeated Start

The varsity boys lacrosse team is off to an undefeated start, winning its first three games of the season against Midpark, Riverside and Lake. Gilmour totaled 32 goals in those three games this past week. Against Midpak, Carson Polish ’18 led the scoring with five goals and an assist, while Jack Aleva ’18 added three goals. Ryan Mullee ’18 (pictured) was strong at the face-off, winning 13 of 20 draws while also totaling three goals and two assists. In the net, Zach Henry ’18 had four stops. Against Riverside, Gilmour ran away with a 12-1 victory in which Polish had another five-goal performance. Robbie Belknap ’21 and Tate Simpson ’21 netted the first scores of their high school careers. Bryce Hofstrom ’20 scooped a team-high six ground balls, while Henry had eight saves between the pipes. Then against Lake High School out of Uniontown, the Lancers fought for the 8-6 win. Polish had a hat trick, while Aleva contributed two goals and an assist. Henry recorded four saves in goal.
