Congratulations to the varsity girls basketball team, which earned an OHSAA Division II State Runner-Up finish this season. The team competed in the Final Four in Columbus, Ohio on March 16-17. The Lancers defeated Bellbrook High School 47-40 in the state semifinal game. Two Gilmour players set records in the contest. Naz Hillmon '18 grabbed 19 rebounds, which was the most in a state semifinal game in any division of girls basketball. Annika Corcoran '19 made five 3-pointers, which was the most in a Division II girls basketball state semifinal game. The team went on to play in the championship game, but lost to Rogers High School, out of Toledo, 51-37. The Lancers ended the year with an overall record of 25-4. Hillmon was named Division II Co-Player of the Year as well as News-Herald Player of the Year. Additional All-Ohio honorees included Special Mention pick Corcoran and Honorable Mention pick Sarah Bohn '18.
