Environmental science and Spanish 3 classes combined for five mini-lab stations on air pollution, compost, recycling, deforestation and greenhouse gases. This lab incorporated topics each class is currently studying; the environmental science class is examining sustainability while the Spanish 3 class is learning about the environment. While Ms. Seliskar spoke to the students about science in English, Señora Thayer spoke only in Spanish and expected her students to do the same.

 

Spanish students enjoyed the practical application of their vocabulary and all learned about the effects of unsustainable actions on our world. What a great example of real-world learning!
