This month’s featured speaker is Dominic Coletta. Dominic is the father of Dominic ’25, Connor ’27 and Lucy ’28 Coletta. He is married to Jackie Pawlowski Coletta ’96.

 

Dominic Coletta was first elected judge of the Lyndhurst Municipal Court in 2017 and was re-elected in 2023. He received his Bachelor of Arts in political science from Miami University in 2001 and his Juris Doctor from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 2004. Prior to taking the bench, he was a partner at Synenberg, Coletta & Moran, LLC in Cleveland, Ohio where his practice focused on criminal defense.

 

The court’s jurisdiction includes Gates Mills, Highland Heights, Lyndhurst, Mayfield Heights, Mayfield Village and Richmond Heights. Dominic oversees an annual case load of more than 10,000, which includes misdemeanor and felony offenses, traffic offenses and civil cases.

 

Dominic served as the President of the Northern Ohio Municipal Judges Association in 2023 and 2024.

 

Beginning in 2023, Dominic has addressed the freshman class at Gilmour each year during Awareness Week about the dangers of substance abuse, social media and sexting.
