Speech and Debate Qualifies 17 to States

The speech and debate team is having quite a season. This past weekend, 17 students qualified for the state tournament. Last year was a great year with 12 qualifiers, so we’re excited to see what this group can do!

Sophia Dipuccio '19 and Sabrina Bauman '18 - qualified in Dramatic Interpretation
Zach Holtz '18 - qualified in Humorous Interpretation
Emma Kaplan '19 - qualified in Informative Speaking
Taniya Dsouza '20 - alternate in International Extemporaneous Speech
Ryan Kastelic '18 - qualified in Lincoln Douglas Debate
Sebastian Williams '18 - qualified in Lincoln Douglas Debate
Jacob Bartell '18 - qualified in Lincoln Douglas Debate
Mollie Edmonson '21 - qualified in Original Oratory (top speaker in her event)
Madison Wagner '19 - qualified in Original Oratory
Arianna Mack '18 - qualified in Prose Oratorical Interpretation
John Kunzo '18 - qualified in Prose Oratorical Interpretation
Allie Mikolanis '19 - qualified in US Extemporaneous Speech (but is going to States in Student Congress)
Asya Akkus '21 - qualified in Student Congress
Gwen Mascha '21 - qualified in Student Congress
