Recycling Rules!
Last semester, the third graders led a charge to ramp up our paper recycling at the Lower School. They held a schoolwide contest to see which class would recycle the most paper. The third graders kept a bar graph tracking each homeroom’s weekly progress and the fourth graders won!
Because of the contest, the amount of recyclables in the green bin in the parking lot increased as well and the Lower School ended up winning the northeast Ohio recycling contest, earning a $500 prize! The students are excited to use this money for environmental initiatives at the Lower School.
Gilmour families, you can help them win again next year by bringing your recycled paper (including magazines, newspaper and cardboard) and placing it in the green recycling bin in the Lower School parking lot.
