Gala a Great Success!
On Saturday night, April 22, more than 500 alumni, current parents, past parents, faculty members and friends gathered at Landerhaven for a spectacular celebration of our school’s 70th anniversary! What an incredible evening!
Aside from the obvious fun had by all in attendance, the evening was truly impactful for Gilmour – raising more than $565,000 in all, after expenses.
Through ticket sales, sponsorships, an exciting live auction and many generous donations, we were able to raise more than $300,000, after expenses, toward student programming. Additionally, the Fund-A-Need Program, which raised money specifically for the proposed Lorraine and Bill Dodero Center for Performing Arts, netted more than $265,000. This included an anonymous $100,000 gift in honor of event chair Lorraine Dodero, whose leadership and generosity were what led to such a successful evening.
Along with fabulous food, a band that had people dancing the night away, and a terrific Live Auction, a highlight of the evening’s festivities was a video that explained just what it is that makes Gilmour so special. Watch the video and enjoy photos from the event!
