Lancers for Life March in Washington

Gilmour students and faculty participate in March for Life.  Last Friday, Gilmour’s Lancers for Life club joined St. Edward High School in the March for Life in Washington, D.C. Hundreds of thousands joined in this peaceful protest to stand up for human dignity and the value of life, from the moment of conception until natural death. The group’s pilgrimage began on Thursday evening, sleeping on the gym floor at Catholic University of America and praying in the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception with students from all over the country.

On Friday morning, the group attended Mass at the Verizon Center, participated in the rally at the Lincoln Memorial, and then marched up Constitution Avenue. On Saturday, the group had the opportunity to visit the Holocaust Museum, the Capitol Building, and some of the Smithsonian museums.
