Fall Cum Laude Induction

On Tuesday morning, 14 seniors were inducted into the Cum Laude Society. The organization honors scholastic achievement and recognizes students who demonstrate the society's tenets of areté (excellence), diké (justice) and timé (honor). Seniors inducted in the fall must be in the top tenth of their class and must demonstrate excellent character. Congratulations to our inductees: (back row L to R) Lyla Tsu ’23, Yurui Xie ’23, Lauren Kish ’23, Olivia Reichard ’23, Anna Rarick ’23, Jacob Malinas ’23, Rocco Hice ’23 (front row L to R) Clare Valenza ’23, Sofia Salvino ’23, Gia Parker ’23, Caitlin Ford ’23, Rylyn Anderson ’23, John Stack ’23 and Aidan Flynn ’23.

After students received their Society pins and certificates, they were treated to words of wisdom from Dean Malac ’04, a postdoctoral psychology fellow at the Center for Evidence Based Treatment Ohio. He spoke to the students about ways they can challenge themselves to move forward in their personal excellence (areté) and live with diké (justice) and timé (honor).
