Varsity A Hockey Joins Golf on Leaderboard for Campaign for Lancer Athletics

The team involvement in the Campaign for Lancer Athletics continues, with several teams joining the initiative after the golf team led the charge. The state tournament varsity boys golf team has 100% participation from families and, on April 12, the players spent the evening as a group calling golf alumni to ask for their support of the campaign. They reached out to 150 alumni and enjoyed the chance to connect with these former Lancer golfers. And their efforts are paying off, as gifts for the campaign from those alumni have been coming in.

Their efforts have inspired several other Lancer teams to “join the team.” The Varsity A hockey team has been working hard and is currently at 60% participation. They hope to encourage hockey alumni to support their efforts with a program-wide phone-a-thon on Monday, April 25 from 6-8:30 p.m. in the Athletic Center classrooms. Hockey players from any of the teams can still sign up to help that night. Click here to register.

Additionally, boys basketball, Varsity B and JV boys hockey have just begun their own team fundraising initiatives. And girls prep hockey is starting soon, too!

Has your child’s team(s) participated yet? Rally the families on your team and join the leaderboard. It’s not the size of the gift that matters, but rather, that everyone “joins the team” and participates in this Campaign for Lancer Athletics that will benefit so many. Wouldn’t it be great to have 100% participation from each team!
