Founders’ Week Reminds Us of Our Mission

This week we celebrated Founders’ Week with community-building and opportunities to embrace our Holy Cross Mission. On Wednesday, we celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, a patroness of the Congregation of Holy Cross. Enjoy these photos from the celebration. 

Our theme for this year is "Holy Cross: Leading with Zeal Around the World," and, with this in mind, all three divisions participated in projects designed to bring hope to Afghan refugees recently resettled in our area. Lower School students made cards and collected money to buy teapots after learning about the importance of sharing a cup of tea in Afghan culture. Middle and Upper School students brought in new or gently used towels that will be donated to the refugees. They also heard from Allison Maranuk '04, who spoke at Convocation about her connection to and work with the Afghan community.
