Senior’s Entrepreneurship Project Reaching Seniors in Midst of Pandemic

Check out this article that appeared in the Lake County News-Herald. It highlights programming that the Lake County Council on Aging has implemented to keep area seniors engaged in the midst of the pandemic. One of the programs, Powerful Pens, was co-created by Robby Belknap '21 (shown in the picture in the article), and allows seniors and members of the community to connect via handwritten letters. With face-to-face visits limited and some of the seniors not able to engage in phone calls due to hearing issues, the letter-writing program has provided an important vehicle for communication and connection. Robby has been working on the project through Mr. Polak’s management and entrepreneurship class.
