Caritas Winner Announced
Congratulations to Davis Levengood ’25, Gilmour Academy’s 2019 Caritas winner! Sharing the stage at Convocation last Friday with finalists Charles Sustar ’25 and Braden Keller ’25, Davis advocated for Operation Smile. A cross-disciplinary effort between Theology and English class, the seventh-grade Caritas project centers on charity as a theological virtue and our Christian duty.
Students created persuasive presentations to demonstrate how a charity of their choice aligns with and upholds the Gilmour mission, Holy Cross charisms, and Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy. Davis's thoughtful, heartfelt and persuasive presentation earned the vote of the community. A donation will be made to Operation Smile on behalf of Gilmour Academy.
