Celebrating the Legacy of Holy Cross Founder

Today, the GA community celebrated the Feast of Blessed Basil Moreau, C.S.C., the founder of the Congregation of Holy Cross. Emphasizing education of the mind and heart, having the competence to see and the courage to act in creating a more humane and just society, and empowering students to move from information to transformation, Moreau laid the framework for the educational experience of our students.
In anticipation of his January 20 feast day, today, the GA community celebrated the Feast of Blessed Basil Moreau, C.S.C., the founder of the Congregation of Holy Cross. To commemorate how Moreau's charism is alive in our own community, there was a special morning prayer at the LS and, at Convocation for the Middle and Upper Schools, the winners of the Kindness Campaign Service Challenge were announced and religion instructor Bob Beach reflected on what Holy Cross means to him. Members of the entire community celebrated our Holy Cross heritage at lunch with cupcakes and had the opportunity to sport their Kindness Campaign t-shirts.
