Sixth Steinway Arrives on Campus
We received delivery of the sixth Steinway & Sons grand piano. In a fitting tribute to Matthew Figgie ‘84, who made the Steinway initiative happen, the piano was delivered directly to the Athletic Center, where it was played by Ms. Vickers at his memorial service. After, it was moved to its permanent home in the Middle School band rehearsal room.
This sixth Steinway replaced the piano that had been in the band rehearsal room. Other Steinways on campus include three at the Lower School, one in the Chapel and one in Tudor House.
