Boys Basketball Went 3-0 this Past Week; Begins Postseason Play Tomorrow Night at Home

The varsity boys basketball team went 3-0 this past week to close out the regular season with a record of 16-6. The Lancers notched wins against Willoughby South, John Marshall and Holy Name.
 
Against South, CJ Charleston '19 exploded for 29 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals. His point total allowed him to eclipse the 1,000-point scoring plateau, becoming the second player to do so this season. Dechlan Kirincic '18 achieved the mark earlier this season.
 
For the week, Charleston totaled 68 points to bring his total to 1,044 career points. Other top performers of the week included Kirincic with a combined 61 points and 25 rebounds in the three games, as well as Connor O'Toole '20 with 20 points, including four 3-pointers, against No. 6-state-ranked Holy Name.
 
Gilmour is the No. 1 seed in the Stow-Munroe Falls District and hosts a sectional final game tomorrow - Friday, March 2 - at 7 p.m. against the winner of the Streetsboro/Akron East game. Fans are reminded that no passes are accepted to any tournament game per OHSAA regulations. This includes Gilmour Family Passes, even to those games played on campus. Tickets will go on sale one hour prior to tipoff.
