Girls Prep Hockey Battles in Pottstown, Pa.

Girls prep hockey played well in three games in Pottstown, Pa.
This past weekend the girls prep hockey team traveled to Pottstown, Pa. for three games. The Friday opener was a very even game against The Hill School. The Lancers battled hard as Ani Fitzgerald '19 scored the lone goal in the second period, which was the eventual game winner, with an assist from Jenna Salminen '20. Gab Venne '18 was brilliant in net, earning a well-deserved shutout. In the second game against The Hill School, it was another tough, even battle. The opponents scored on a great power play goal. Gilmour had momentum late in the game, but couldn't find the net, losing 1-0. Venne had another incredible performance in the net.
 
In the weekend finale against Exton Elite, Gretchen Klens '19 scored her first career goal to put the Lancers ahead early. Fitzgerald then scored twice, followed by a score from Maura McKeown '19. Exton responded with two goals, before Morgan Tefft '18 and Izzy Aerni '18 added one goal each to help Gilmour earn the 6-2 win.
