Girls Basketball

The No. 10 cleveland.com-ranked varsity girls basketball team opened the season on the road at No. 14 Cornerstone Christian. The Lancers played tough, but were unable to gain the momentum needed to overtake the hosts. Annika Corcoran '21 led the offense with 27 points, while Liz Bender '20 and Jordan Nolan '19 scored in double figures with 14 and 13 points, respectively. At the junior varsity level, Gilmour was victorious, winning 59-17. Leading scorers included Lauryn Stover '22 with 11 points and Angelina Lonardo '22 and Bella Mazzurco '21 with eight points each. 
 
Weekend Plans: Join the Lancers on campus in their home opener on Saturday against North Coast League (NCL) opponent Walsh Jesuit. Freshman game at 11:45 a.m., followed by junior varsity at 1 p.m. and varsity at 2:30 p.m.
