Volleyball

The varsity volleyball team went 2-2 to finish in sixth place in the Mentor Power Tournament this past weekend. The Lancers opened with a 2-0 win against Clay High School before falling to Ursuline Academy (ranked No. 15 nationally) 2-0. Gilmour then went on to defeat Jackson 2-0 before losing 2-1 to Division I state-ranked Walsh Jesuit in the final match. Megan Brzozowski '19 (pictured) was named to the All-Tournament team. The Lancers then began this week with a 3-1 win over North Coast League (NCL) opponent Lake Catholic.

Weekend Plans: The junior varsity team competes in the Cardinal JV Tournament on Saturday at 9 a.m. before all Lancer teams return to action on Tuesday, October 2 at home against Walsh Jesuit in a triple header with the freshman game at 4:30 p.m., followed by the junior varsity game at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity game at 6:30 p.m.
