Boys Track & Field Looking Good Heading into Postseason

This past week, the varsity boys track and field team competed in two meets. The Lancers first won a dual meet against Trinity. Andre Rodgers '21 was outstanding on the day, winning the 100, 200 and long jump. Other multi-event winners were Andrew Sieminski '18 in the shot put and discus, and Garett Tomasek '20, who won both hurdle races. The team then went on to compete in Walsh Jesuit's Twilight Meet. Outstanding athletes were CJ Charleston '19, who won the long jump; Tyler Clark '19, who won the 3200 with a district-leading time of 9:46 and Tim Diemer '19, who ran 2:00 in the 800 meters, which is also the fastest time in the DIII Cuyahoga Heights District. The Lancers will now begin competing in the postseason, beginning their journey to a state championship with the district meet this week at Cuyahoga Heights High School May 16-18.
