Girls Lacrosse Began Postseason With a Big Win
The varsity girls lacrosse team moved to 10-4 on the season with wins last week against NDCL and Solon. In the team's 10-4 victory against NDCL, Gianna Stafford '18 led the scoring with five goals as Gretchen Klens '20 had a team-high two assists. Claudia Winslett '18 totaled 14 saves. Then in a 12-5 win against Solon, Izzy Aerni '18 recorded a team-best four goals as Klens dished out four assists. Winslett had six saves.
In the first round of the OHSAA Division II Region 6 Playoffs, the Lancers defeated Chardon 13-1 and now advance to the second round of playoffs on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Laurel. Fans are reminded that no passes are accepted, including Gilmour Family Passes. Cost of admission is $6 for adults and students.
