Girls Track & Field Finishes Second to Magnificat
In the lone meet of the week, the varsity girls track & field team took second with 59 points as Magnificat (71) was first and Hathaway Brown (42) was third. The Lancers won three relays and six individual events. Winning relays included the 4x800 with Bella Pignatiello '18, Izzy Greene '18, Annie Greene '19 and Katie Engle '19; the 4x200 with Sophia Giancola '20, Annika Corcoran '19, Marisa Salvino '18 and Lucia Cannata '18; and the 4x400 with Pignatiello, Cannata, Engle and Salvino. Individual champions included Corcoran in the 100 and the long jump, Engle in the 1600 and 800, and Mackenzie Palinski '21 (pictured) in the shot and discus.
