Girls Lacrosse Dominates Orange, Finishes Week 3-3

The varsity girls lacrosse team evened out its record at 3-3 this past week with a dominating win against Orange and a shutout versus Beaumont before dropping a heartbreaker to Olmsted Falls 9-10. During the Olmsted Falls game, the score was tied at five at the half before the hosts scored the first three goals to start the second half. Gilmour remained focused and answered with three goals to tie the score, then scored just one goal the rest of the way. The team played tough up until the very last second of the game.

Key players last week were starting center Izzy Aerni '18 (pictured) with a dominant showing at midfield in each game. Jordan Nolan '19 came up huge with four goals and an assist during Olmsted Falls. Maddy Hillard '18 and Dani Porter '18 were strong on defense, while Claudia Winslett '18 had another awesome week in goal with a total of 29 saves in the three games.
