Lancer Baseball Teams Finish the Week 7-2

The varsity baseball team went 2-2 this past week with an 11-0 win over Western Reserve Academy and a 6-1 victory over Midview. Games were highlighted by the hitting of Jack Krebs '19 (pictured), who totaled four RBI against WRA, and the pitching of Owen Corcoran '18, who threw a complete game with seven strikeouts against Midview to improve to 3-0 on the season. He has the most wins of the Gilmour pitching crew this season and also the best ERA at 0.75. The Lancers are currently led offensively by Colt Corpse' 18 and Corcoran, who are both hitting .345. Krebs is the team leader with nine RBI. 

 

The junior varsity baseball team went 2-0 last week with wins against Benedictine and Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin. Joey Hollis '20 led the way on the mound as Vinny Bandwen '21 led the way at the plate.

 

The reserve team defeated Brush to improve to 3-0 on the season. Charlie Shepherd '21 had a nice outing on the mound recently for the team.
