Networking Breakfast

This month's speaker will be Jeff Fortunato (Sophia '26). Jeff is an Assistant Special Agent in Charge with FBI Cleveland and is responsible for its national security portfolio. In this capacity, he has oversight of FBI Cleveland's response to cyber nation-state, counterterrorism and counterintelligence threats. Jeff has been with the FBI since 2002 and has also served in its New York City office and at its Washington, D.C. headquarters.

 

Jeff was raised in Lake County and graduated from Miami University in 1994. Prior to the FBI, he served as a U.S. Marine Corps infantry officer for nine years, including a tour of duty in Iraq.

 

At breakfast, Jeff will discuss the national security threat landscape facing the U.S. from the perspective of the FBI.

 

Jeff and his wife Melissa, a retired FBI Special Agent, are parents of Sophia and Layla, both of whom enjoy playing softball. The Fortunato family are residents of Gates Mills, and are in the process of restoring their century home.
