Girls Basketball Headed to Columbus to Defend State Title

The varsity girls basketball team won a regional championship this past week, earning a berth to the OHSAA Division II State Final Four. This is the third consecutive year the team has made it to the state semifinals. Gilmour earned the right to the Final Four after defeating St. Vincent-St. Mary High School 57-36 in the regional finals. Naz Hillmon '18 recorded 24 points and 17 rebounds, while Sarah Bohn '18 had 12 points and Annika Corcoran '19 chipped in 10 as Gilmour improved to an overall record of 24-3.
 
The Lancers now play Bellbrook High School today at 1 p.m. in the Jerome Schottenstein Center on the campus of The Ohio State University. In other girls basketball news, the All-Ohio Girls Basketball honors were announced this week as selected by members of the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association. Gilmour had three players recognized, including Hillmon as Division II Co-Player of the Year, Corcoran as a Special Mention selection and Bohn as an Honorable Mention pick. Ohio Ms. Basketball is expected to be announced Wednesday. Hillmon is a finalist for that honor.
