Naz Hillmon Documentary to Air on Big Ten Network

Former Gilmour Academy standout and current University of Michigan star Naz Hillmon ’18 will be featured in a television documentary.

The B1G Story: Naz Hillmon will debut Tuesday, January 4 at 11 p.m. on the Big Ten Network. The program follows the career of Hillmon, the reigning Big Ten Player of the Year; highlights her impact on and off the court; and includes interviews with Michigan head coach Kim Barnes Arico along with Hillmon’s teammates and family.

Prior to the airing of the documentary, Hillmon and her Wolverine teammates will play Nebraska at 9 p.m. in a game also airing on the Big Ten Network. Led by Hillmon, Michigan is off to a 12-1 start this season and recently earned its first-ever win in program history over a Top-5 opponent.

Hillmon was a two-time Associated Press Ohio Division II Player of the Year during her time as a Lancer. She led Gilmour to the 2017 OHSAA state championship and graduated as the program's all-time leading scorer and rebounder. She went on to become the first player in Michigan program history to be named an All-American.
The B1G Story is a documentary-style program produced by the Emmy-nominated BTN Originals team. Throughout the year, The B1G Story provides a contemporary look at compelling stories in the conference.
The Big Ten Network came to Lancer Gymnasium this past summer to gather footage of Hillmon at Gilmour for the documentary.
