Rebuilding Cleveland Class Out and About in the City

The Rebuilding Cleveland class is an interactive class that uses the people, places and history of Cleveland as its classroom. Students in the class enjoyed their first off-campus excursion last week when they visited the brand new Cozad-Bates Interpretive Center as well as the Cleveland History Center. The students learned how Cleveland’s proximity to the lake made it a key location for the Underground Railroad. The Interpretive Center at the historic Cozad-Bates House is so new that these GA students were the first student group to ever visit! In the Cleveland History Center, the group engaged in a scavenger hunt and learned more about the city and its history with regard to the abolitionist movement.
