Peter Dolan '14

Young Alum Shares His Path to Wall Street While Staying True to his Passion for the Environment
Upon graduating from Gilmour, Peter Dolan ’14 attended the University of Michigan, where he studied business and minored in sustainability. While in college, Peter interned at the Western Reserve Land Conservancy, where he and his team structured Green Bonds to generate funds for the ongoing reforestation in Cleveland. He conducted research and communication on the economic, environmental and social benefits of investment in the maintenance of urban canopy and researched and presented carbon credit sales packages for organizations in the city of Cleveland.
 
Peter also founded and served as co-director of Evolved, a student organization that hosted high-profile conferences showcasing opportunities in sustainability. He worked with Patagonia, Kellogg, and other large and small companies to communicate the benefits of sustainability integration.
 
He also founded and served as director of EnAct, an environmental impact organization that was dedicated to catalyzing collective action related to waste management, diet and daily energy consumption. In addition, he was named an Abrams Sustainability Fellow and worked with faculty and graduate students to integrate sustainability into the University of Michigan curriculum.
 
Today, Peter is putting that passion to work on Wall Street as a business development consultant for Cornerstone Capital Group in New York City. The SEC-registered investment advisor pursues financial returns alongside social impact by incorporating environmental, social and governance (ESG) analysis into portfolio design.
